SPECIAL THANKS TO WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY

  • Visiting Students from Liberia University

On September 9th, 2011, two of our Liberian University Student Government officials , Mr. Jacob Jallah & Mr. Joseph Wilson were invited by Wake Forest to participate in a month long WFU's President Leadership Conference.  This was a very successful meet.  The students participated in a variety of lectures, meetings and historical events.

The visit proved to be very rewarding whereby both students were able to embrace their experience(s) in a positive way. The intent is to promote & implement what they have learned through direct discussions and collaboration with the University President, Dr. Emmett Dennis and other students. After a successful visit, the students returned to Liberia on October 1, 2011 with an uplifting approach and desire to make a difference in the lives of others..

The visit is a direct result of LOP's efforts in facilitating sister cities & institutional relations between Winston-Salem & the Port city of Buchanan, Grand Bassa county; Wake Forest University & University of Liberia; Forsyth Technical Community College & Grand Bassa Community College.
