Nomination forms for community leaders and legends will be accepted through April 18, 2012.

Scholarship applications for all interested college students will also be accepted through April 18, 2012. Essay deadline is April 25, 2012.

The LOP will award a $500.00 scholarship to a deserving undergraduate student. The scholarship winner will be recognized at the awards dinner, and also have their photo and essay published in local papers in Liberia, West Africa.

The LOP's third annual Community Leaders and Legends Hall of Fame Awards dinner is May 19, 2012.

The Community Leaders and Legends Scholarship is open to:

• current full-time undergraduate students of an accredited four year institution; and

• students, who are permanent residents or citizens of the U.S.

• students, who are relatives of LOP's Officers, Members, Community Leaders and Legends Hall of Fame Committee are not qualified to apply.

ONLY! Interested and qualified students may apply for the scholarship.

LOP through its Corporate and Individual sponsors, will award scholarships and Study Abroad Program. A location in Africa will be decided and the winner will participate in a five-week long summer program. It will provide an opportunity to learn and appreciate the history and habitation of our ancestors.
